This Privacy Policy explains how Karaoke Studio ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website and services at karaokestudio.pro.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. If you sign in with Google OAuth, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.

Payment Information: Subscription payments are processed by DodoPayments. We do not store your credit card details. DodoPayments handles all payment data in accordance with their privacy policy.

Usage Data: We collect anonymized usage analytics through Vercel Analytics to understand how our service is used and to improve it.

Media Files: Your media files (audio, video, images) are processed entirely on your device using browser-based technologies (WebAssembly, WebGPU, WebCodecs). Free-tier users' files never leave the browser. Paid-plan subscribers may opt into cloud backup, which stores encrypted copies of project media on Cloudflare R2 so projects persist across devices and browser data clears. You can remove cloud-stored files at any time from Settings.

3. Cookies & Tracking

Essential Cookies: We use session cookies for authentication and to keep you signed in. These are strictly necessary and cannot be disabled.

Analytics: Vercel Analytics collects anonymized page-view data. You can opt out of analytics cookies via our cookie consent banner.

Local Storage: We use browser localStorage and IndexedDB to store your project data, preferences, and media files locally on your device.

4. Third-Party Services

  • Google OAuth: Authentication provider. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
  • DodoPayments: Payment processor for subscriptions. Subject to DodoPayments' Privacy Policy.
  • Vercel Analytics: Anonymized usage analytics. Subject to Vercel's Privacy Policy.
  • GoDaddy SMTP: Transactional email delivery. Subject to GoDaddy's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely. Media files are stored only on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.

6. Your Rights

GDPR (EU/EEA Residents): You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, and port your personal data. You also have the right to object to processing and to withdraw consent at any time.

CCPA (California Residents): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

7. Children's Privacy

Karaoke Studio is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and hashed passwords. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
